My parents gave me the name David Jonathan Drew at birth. Now you're wondering how I got the name JD out of that. Well, that is my secret and you'll just have to figure it out yourself.

On a personal note, at the age of sixteen, I accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and personal savior. It wasn't until at that moment I realized why my parents had given me that name. The name means beloved gift from God. My parents loved God and gave me that name because they felt so blessed.

The day I accepted Christ was the greatest day of my life! Today, I play baseball in front of thousands, but it will never compare to God allowing me into His kingdom! Now, there are still many days when my life has it's ups and downs, but He has forgiven me and walks beside me as my best friend. He has filled my life full of joy and happiness, and I can't imagine where I would be without Him.

Because of His grace and mercy I am forgiven of my sins. The good news is you, too, can be saved today! God sent His son to die for us and allows us to have eternal life. Wow! That is a blessing! You see, I know I'm going to heaven when my life is over.

I want to encourage you to look at your life and ask Jesus into your heart as Lord and personal savior. I pray that you allow Jesus to become your beloved gift from God. I am so happy that He is mine!
