I thank God for all that He is in my life. God is my everything, my strength, my joy, my peace, and most of all my Savior. He has blessed me so much throughout my entire life. Even though there are times when things don't go the way that I want them to go, I know that God is at work (Romans 8:28) for my good and betterment as a Christian man and person.

Sometimes it is easy to get ahead of God and want things before I am ready to receive them, but I can always trust God to provide whatever I need exactly when I need it. He knows everything. He is all powerful. He is everywhere and He is my spiritual daddy. By my daddy, I mean that He is loving, caring ,and compassionate. I know that He desires to bless me far and beyond anything that I could ever hope or imagine so that He can receive glory through my life.

I accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior when I was 8 years old and since that day, I have never been alone. I never drank alcohol or ever touched drugs and this is something that I am very glad that God blessed me with the strength to make the right decisions when I was being tempted by "friends" to do so. I quickly learned that true friends don't place these temptations before you. I have felt lonely at times but later figured out that it was I that pulled back from God's loving arms. God didn't go anywhere and desired to bless me with His presence daily and as soon as I turned back for His help, there He was with open arms waiting to embrace me as only a loving daddy would and could.

The peace and joy that I felt that day are unmatched by anything that this world has to offer. I have experienced the major leagues and in the world's eyes , this is one of the pinnacles in life, but it is nothing compared to knowing without a doubt that I will spend eternity in heaven.

God is all that you need in this life and you will never find true joy and peace until the day that you ask His son, Jesus Christ, to come and live in your heart. God placed eternity in our hearts (Ecclesiastes 3:11) and until we ask Him to come and live in that spot created for Him, we will never find true peace and joy. We all have to ask for forgiveness for the sin that we are born into and commit far too often in our daily lives.

My prayer is that you will ask Jesus to come live in your heart today if you haven't already. Everyone who has received the gift of salvation has had to at some point humble themselves under God's mighty hand and receive forgiveness for their sins. So why wait, please ask today and feel the difference that Jesus can make in your life. That is the way that God created us, to commune with him.

Prayer and time in His word is the next step once you have received the gift of salvation. God wants to speak with us daily through time in the Bible and prayer. It is the only way that we can stay strong enough to remain victorious in this life. There is absolutely nothing that He wants us to keep from Him.

One rule to follow is, if something is big enough in your life to worry about, then it is big enough to pray and ask God to help you with. Satan is our advesary and he desires to steal, kill, and destroy each and every one of us. But Jesus came that we may have life, and have it in abundance (John 10:10). Ask Jesus to come into your life today and receive that abundant life.
